Packaging of solar panel

As a global industry, most of the production of solar panels is carried out in Asia and Southeast Asia, and the largest end user share is geographically far away from the manufacturing source, so these valuable goods must also be transported by long distance .
As an expensive product, there is an important but often overlooked aspect-safe and efficient packaging of solar panels.

It is very expensive to find out whether the solar panel received by the customer is damaged, broken, deformed or scratched due to improper packaging.
Let us understand some ways to avoid such situations:
Basic information to consider
Solar panels are usually stacked horizontally or vertically in a box. Usually, dividers and edge protectors are used in the corners of each module to provide additional protection. If necessary, each panel can be packed into a separate carton and then stacked in the main carton.
Then the main carton is sealed and strapped, and then wrapped with plastic film. Ship them through pallets and keep an average of 28-30 panels as a support.
Regarding the packaging, loading, transportation and unloading of solar cell modules, there is no globally recognized and widely used standard. This is due to the different requirements of manufacturers' customers, so there is no unified standard for the packaging of modules.

The problem of poor packaging
When solar photovoltaic modules are stacked horizontally on top of each other, it means that the underlying modules are subjected to mechanical stress, which may cause micro-cracks, which then grow and have a devastating effect within an appropriate period of time.
In horizontal stacking, solar panels are usually separated by carton boxes or plastic separators. Most separator solutions are not very strong, and therefore cannot protect the module from the mechanical stress of about several hundred kilograms exerted by the stacked solar panels pressed above. The high-heel effect (the pressure applied to the corners) causes micro-cracks in the cells.
Considering the deficiencies of encapsulating solar photovoltaic cells horizontally, it is usually the best and also be considered to be better solution to encapsulate the panels vertically to minimize the up-down pressure and weight stress of the module.
It is best to bundle the trays of vertically packed panels and fix them with appropriate protective measures in front of and behind the panels, leaving no space in the middle to prevent them from moving.
Dangers during loading and transportation
No one can deny that there are other dangers during loading and transportation. Due to the large transportation distance, if a bad situation occurs during the loading process, no one will take care of it, and the containment will be maintained for a longer period of time. These factors include: rough handling during loading and unloading, walking on pallets, etc.

East Lux not only has strict requirements on quality, we also have some research on packaging, in order to avoid various problems that may be encountered in transportation, we have adopted various packaging details to prevent the product from being on the way Problems encountered.
East Lux has hardly heard any feedback from customers that our goods had damaged items in transit, so it can be seen that the packaging of East Lux proves to be intact and perfect.
